ESPN's "This is SportsCenter" campaign is iconic for its humor, simplicity, and participation of top-flight athletes. For this Aaron Judge spot, our production team relied on the unspoken word — to be both witty and contextually relevant. The only thing I didn't like about this shoot was having to watch others on the treadmill — while I produced - and snacked.
ESPN's "This is SportsCenter" campaign is iconic for its humor, simplicity, and participation of top-flight athletes. For this spot, we set out to make fun of a silly stereotype associated with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo's Greek heritage, while 'normalizing' him as a typical ESPN employee working at a computer. The production team purchased around 150 plates as props. By the end of the day, we found ourselves praying that some plates wouldn't actually break, so we could make it through the shoot... in one piece. Pun intended.
